Swan Valley Bear Resources will hold an informational Bear Fair on Saturday, June4th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Roadhouse, 82616 Highway 83 in Bigfork.

The event will include presentations by Dr. Chris Servheen, USFWS Grizzly Bear Recovery Coordinator; Tim Manley, MTFWP Grizzly Bear Management Specialist; and Cecily Costello, MTFWP Grizzly Bear Research Biologist.

In addition to the above presenters, representatives from the following organizations will be available with displays and to answer questions: Vital Ground Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, Montana Land Reliance, and Montana Outdoors Legacy Foundation. Counter Assault will provide bear pepper-spray information and Gallagher Fence will demonstrate current electric fencing techniques. Bear-related kids activities will also be available.

A BBQ lunch, provided by the Rocky Mountain Roadhouse, will be available while supplies last. Drinks will be available for purchase. RSVPs are requested online at SwanValleyConnections.org/bear-fair or call (406) 754-3137.
